Industrial bar code printing where you want it? when you want it. The internal EasyLAN Wireless radio is a single circuit board that connects directly to the CPU board, resulting in lower maintenance and higher reliability.EasyLAN Wireless printers feature the industry standard 802.11b WEP 64- or 128-bit encryption. The EasyLAN Wireless option can also be upgraded to 802.1x security when this feature is available. The standard serial port enables users to connect external serial devices to the wireless LAN such as weigh scales, scanners or additional printers. This serial port can also be utilized as a peer-to-peer configuration setup tool. For easy installation and configuration the EasyLAN Wireless option defaults to use Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP). The radio is set to auto-mode, which will automatically associate with a wireless network infrastructure or ad hoc (peer-to-peer) mode.Intermec's EasyLAN Wireless solution is built for durability. It is virtually a tamper-proof wireless solution with no external cabling or radio card that is subject to damage or theft. The radio is secure within the metal case of the printer, only the antenna is external. The antenna can also be changed to handle specialized wireless applications where the access point is located in a separate building, long narrow corridors or in dense environments with high rows of inventory or crates.
